Hands-on learning experiences that connect STEM, sustainability, and real-world challenges.​

PROGRAM 1: STEM Through Sustainability
Hands-on STEM learning experiences that use gardening, agriculture, and food systems to make math, science, and reading meaningful and accessible. Learners explore real-world challenges related to sustainability, nutrition, and environmental stewardship through active participation.
What this includes:
  • Garden-based learning
  • Food systems and life sciences
  • Sustainability concepts (soil, water, ecosystems)
  • Cross-curricular STEM connections

PROGRAM 2: Educational Technology & Robotics

Programs that integrate educational technology and robotics to build computational thinking, problem-solving skills, and confidence. Learners engage in coding and robotics challenges that emphasize purposeful technology use and real-world application.

PROGRAM 3: Community STEM Events & Educator Support
Community-centered STEM experiences designed to spark curiosity and strengthen learning beyond the classroom. This includes STEM Nights, workshops, and professional learning opportunities that support educators in delivering engaging, hands-on instruction.

PROGRAM 4: Animal Welfare & Agricultural Stewardship
Animal welfare is integrated into Jax N Hearts programming as a component of agricultural and sustainability education. Learners explore responsible animal care, stewardship, and compassion while developing an understanding of how ethical practices contribute to healthy communities.
